At Llangollen the errant fan drive and associated bracket have been removed from 50454. The bracket was cleaned, and fitted with replacement fasteners.
The 108 and 127 took a trip to the fuel point, ready for forthcoming duties, and also had a clean inside.
The end is near on 50416s C exam, along with some damaged hockey sticks on the seat having been changed.
In 56456 the final luggage rack support has been fitted. This gives way for more ceiling panels to be installed. The ones in the very rear will need to wait till the back wall is fully rebuilt.
Work has taken place in 54504 ready for the permanent fitting of a destination blind indicator, hopefully this will take place on the 18th of August.
At the Midland work has been undertaken to get a quote from a contractor for fitting of the door jambs on the Gloucester. A test fitting of various wooden panels also took place above the windows and luggage racks in the Gloucester Trailer, this has helped to work out which parts became damaged beyond repair during the asbestos stripping.
A new pair of brake blocks where fitted to the 141, and a replacement sunvisor fitted in one end. The 141 was also left ready for use at the indietracks weekend. Pictured in use below.
Over the weekend the "new" 108 recieved an FP exam, without any fuss.
Replacement air pipes for 50416 have been fitted and secured. This sounds like a simple job when written down after the event! The non-return valves were removed for servicing. The unloader valve was also removed and given a thorough cleaning.
The belts on the no.2 exhauster were also changed.
The 108 and 104 were also washed in preperation for running this week.
At the Midland a set of new door jambs were unlodaded and stored in the Gloucester Trailer. The false rivetting along the cab roof of the trailer was finished off.

At the weekend we had two diagrams at Llangollen, which included some multi working out in the field, something we don't do very often.
As well as an opportunity to ride on the both the new 108, and the 127 out solo. It was also possible to sample the pairing in multiple for the first time. It was also the first time the "new" 108 has started back from Glyndyfrdwy in passenger service from the down platform in the up direction.
Back on shed, the Wickham was treated to a change of engine air filters. This is a notoriously difficult job, but with some good luck and hard graft the job was finished. Some wear was found on the No1 final drive bevel gear. The associated air cylinder was already suspected of being worn, so the cylinder was changed along with the seals. The air pipe to the unloader valve was also removed to allow a more permanent solution to be found to a repair which was done some time ago.
At the midland a search party was formed to look for the backing boards for the Gloucester luggage racks. These where eventually found and dug out, before being cleaned up and shipped off to two members as homework projects. Another batch of false rivets where then fitted to the cab front roof line on the trailer.
At Llangollen work was progressed on the Wickham "C" exam. With a large number of jobs being signed off. Some bodywork damaged caused at the same time as the broken windows was also tackled.
It was a 108 weekend all round, with the two sets in use at the two different sites.
